Alpine Cheese Tasting Event

Join us on February 24 for a virtual cheese tasting of Alpine cheeses from Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Sweden. We welcome Doug Jacknick from Columbia Cheese to guide us through this tasting of world-class cheeses. Doug has been working in the food industry for almost two decades. He has a degree in Culinary Arts, has worked in fine restaurants, specialty stores, cheese shops and for Connecticut dairy, Arethusa Farm. His love for cheese has grown over the years and he is excited to share his knowledge and enthusiasm for Alpine cheeses. He will take us through this tasting and teach us about the history of cheese making in this part of the world, what makes Alpine cheeses so special, and educate us on this wonderful selection of world-class cheeses.

Tickets are $55 and your Cheese Box can be picked up at your selected Weaver St. Market location on February 22 or 23rd.

Your Cheese Box will include approximately 4 oz. each of the four cheeses below, as well as accompaniments to enhance your tasting. One cheese box ticket can accomodate up to four people participating in the tasting, or offers a hearty tasting for two people.

• Challerhocker, paired with Fiddlehead Farms Pickled Grapes

• Wrangeback, paired with Fiddlehead Farms Pickled Grapes

• Alp Blossom, paired with Bee-Loved NC Wildflower Honey

• Chiriboga Blue, paired with Valley Brook Apple Butter

Also included is a box of Accidental Baker Sea Salt Flatbreads
