An Evening of Ugly Wines

Join WHUP on Sunday, July 29 from 5-8 pm for a special, world-premier benefit event, An Evening of Ugly Wines! Each ticket holder will select a mystery bottle of fine wine to take home that cannot be sold to collectors due to a visual flaw (such as seepage into the cork) that may or may not affect the contents – it might be the best bottle of wine you’ve ever had, or it might not! We’ll also have food catered by La Place, complimentary wine by the glass (quality guaranteed), a mini-auction of rare vintages, door prizes and music.

An Evening of Ugly Wine is curated by Mark Solomon, co-host of The Wine Fellers on WHUP and head of the wine department at Leland Little Auctions. All proceeds from the event benefit Hillsborough community radio station WHUP and our efforts to upgrade our technology and expand access to the region’s most innovative programming.
