Corvette Sunday

October 23, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Come be a part of an inaugural gathering called Corvette Sunday in Hillsborough North Carolina on Sunday October 23rd, 2016. You’ve heard of “Cars and Coffee” and undoubtedly seen throngs of cars at the informal gatherings around the state and the nation. I’m proposing the start of a movement for Corvette owners who like to get together and share their interest in America’s only true sportscar!

The small historic town of Hillsborough is the perfect place to set off this movement. It is sitting along the the Eno River with a Riverside Park with over a mile long walking path that crisscrosses the river for optimum views. The center of town is anchored by the old courthouse, surrounded by restaurants like Antonia’s, Panciuto’s, Radius Pizza and The Wooden Nickle. (check for Sunday hours)

On Sunday’s in the fall, the town provides free music in front of the old courthouse. On Sunday the 23rd, music is provided by SNAKEWIG, a regional band who puts on a great show. There is usually a food truck and a beer tent from the Mystery Brewing Company of Hillsborough, but you can try one of the local restaurants or bars for brews and food. Just remember you’re driving!

I have rented the pavilion at Riverside Park and there is parking there and along the street around the area. We will start the gathering at 2:00PM in the afternoon and you are free to explore the town as you like – easy walking distance. I would like to gather folks together at 2:30 under the pavillion to kick off the meet and greet, tell you about the town and just generally talk about the idea of Corvette Sunday.

I am inviting several Corvette clubs from central NC and I will advertise to as many non-club members as I can reach. I’d be happy for your club representative to talk to the group about your club and its activities and membership. Feel free to call or email me at cell 919-971-3382 or billcoxjr@gmail.com

Hillsborough is at I-85 exit 164 or I-40 exit 261, head north. Address for park is 144 E. Margaret Lane. Look for the signs where to park.      Happy Motoring
