Felt a Heart for Your Valentine! with Helen Bower Jones

Learn the basics of needle felting while creating unique needle felted hearts for Valentine’s Day. We will explore options for embellishing our hearts with more wool, ribbons, beads and sequins. All supplies will be provided and you will take home basic felting tools and extra wool roving so you can continue with what you have learned.

Students will learn how to (safely!) use felting needles to sculpt wool fiber either into 3D hearts or onto flat felt to make a cute Valentine card. We will then explore different ways to embellish those shapes, with details in wool or sewing on beads and sequins.

Students will go home with felted hearts and/or card, plus the needles, foam mat and roving to be able to keep felting.
