Help hike 1,175 miles in one day!

Join us to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Howard Lee’s speech at a National Trails Symposium in Waynesville that North Carolina should create a “state trail from the mountains to the coast, leading through communities as well as natural areas.” We’ll do a group hike and have a small celebration with the Eno River Farmer’s Market during and after.

8:30am – Guided hike led by Mayor Tom Stevens departs the Gold Park Pavilion
9:00am – Hike continues along Riverwalk and the MST through River Park (Participants can join the celebration at Eno River Farmers Market or continue hike)
10:00am – Guided hike concludes at the Historic Occoneechee Speedway

8:00am-12:00pm – MST Vendors/Exhibitors are set up in grass area near Eno River Farmers Market Pavilion/River Park Area. Join us for some fun, community building, and to learn more about the MST in our area, and how you can get involved.
