National Alpaca Farm Day – FREE open farm event

September 23, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Perry Farm Alpacas will be celebrating our 2nd annual National Alpaca Farm Day.  Please join us for this unique family-friendly, free event on Saturday, September 23 from 10am – 3pm, rain or shine.  We’ll have music by Kevin Baker and a food fundraiser for the Cedar Ridge High School FFA.

Learn about the care and handling of alpacas directly from your local alpaca farmers. You will even have an opportunity to feed an alpaca or two!  We’ll also have raw fleece on display so you can touch and feel why alpaca is called a luxury fiber.

Start you holiday shopping early. Browse a variety of hand-made alpaca fleece products – you never know what one-of-a kind item you may find. We will also have wearable alpaca – scarves, hats and gloves – all made in the USA.

You will also meet the wonderful chickens of Perry Farm Alpacas!  We have over 20 breeds plus a couple chicks born on the farm.  We’ll be starting an Egg CSA in the fall, so consider joining once you see what a great life these chickens have.  The eggs they produce are truly free range and come in every color that chickens can make.

Don’t forget to say hello the farm protectors, our two Anatolian Shepherd Dogs.  They live with the flock and the herd, keeping every member safe from the many predators in the area.

No reservations are required.  Please leave your pets at home – no dogs will be permitted on the farm.  We look forward to seeing you and sharing the fun we have raising alpacas!

Special Directions:  Enter 2434 Walker Rd, Hillsborough, NC into your GPS, instead of 2428 Walker Rd.   We share a driveway, so find 2434 Walker and you will find the farm.  We will also have hot pink signs pointing the way when you get close to the farm.  There are 3 green mailboxes at the driveway.  Turn onto the gravel drive and stay straight when it splits.  Come through the gate and enjoy National Alpaca Farm Day at Perry Farm Alpacas.
