DESCRIPTION:Our water situation is changing. We have seen floods\, rising costs\, and hidden chemicals in our waters. Climate change\, development\, and changes to government policies are affecting access to water supplies in our community and region. What is the future of our water supply? \nJoin us to hear from a panel of local and state experts about the impact of funding and policy changes at the local and state levels\, and the government and community strategies to navigate these transitions. Resource tables will be open to provide information about organizations supporting water conservation\, and some things you can do now. Resource tables open: 6:30pm – 7:00pm and 8:15pm – 8:30pm. Light refreshments provided. \nThis nonpartisan forum is organized by Neighbor to Neighbor Rural Organizing Committee (N2N-ROC)\, representing the unique needs of Northern Orange County and is committed to creating a Neighborly Community in the rural part of the county. This year\, 30 small-scale farms\, scattered across the beautiful landscape of Alamance\, Chatham\, Orange\, Durham\, and Person counties\, will open their farm gates to visitors on April 25th & 26th for this beloved celebration of local food and farming. \n\nShow some local love and get a little mud on the tires: fruit orchards\, native plant gardens\, milking parlors\, u-pick berries\, greenhouses\, pasture-raised livestock\, flower fields\, beehives\, and so much more are waiting to be discovered\, just off the beaten path.
