Charles: The nomadic\, self-taught\, soul searching troubadour has effectively and dynamically been able to disassemble the idea of an artist needing to be accredited to be accomplished. With an old soul and a fresh perspective\, he has cultivated soundscapes and wave therapy on some of the musical worlds biggest stages such as Newport Jazz Festival\, TEDx\, and NPR while simultaneously staying steadfast in his belief of authentic quality over quantity; and it is with that stance that Charles has acquired cosigns from the likes of GRAMMY AWARD winning artists such as Son Little\, Cedric Burnside\, and Hip-Hop legends Digable Planets and Arrested Development; of which he has been direct support on a string of sold out shows. The D’angelico Guitars and Supro endorsed Charles’s inquisitive introspection has caught the attention of over 300k listeners across streaming platforms; not to mention the countless listeners he has captivated at venues\, festivals\, and conferences. DESCRIPTION:This month\, the Chili Billie’s Cooking Team is serving up picnic food to raise funds for preservation of our historic Masonic Hall. They are selling hot dogs\, hamburgers\, chili – of course! – and all the other fixings. We will also have an assortment of chips\, sodas\, and bottled water for purchase\, too. \nThe Chili Billie’s Cooking Team is made up of Tim Walker and Jason Ross\, lifelong friends who were born about two weeks apart and grew up on adjoining farms in northern Alamance County. They enjoy competitive cooking of all kinds but most recently have been traveling the east coast as far north as WV and as far south as Florida cooking in International Chili Society sanctioned chili cook offs\, where both have qualified for the World Championships to be held in Indianapolis in October.

DESCRIPTION:You are invited to the Open Farm Day at Firefly Farm . Saturday\, April 5\, 2025\, 8 am till 6 pm. This free event is the perfect opportunity to see what we are growing. We are a U-pick flower farm\, growing many varieties of flowers. Come out and wander the farm and pet the animals.  \nSchedule of Events for Open Farm Day at Firefly Farm  \nNo ticket needed – free event\, open to the public  \n8 am – Gates open. Farmer Cindy and staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Wander the farm – be our guest! While the wildflowers are not ready for the U-pick season yet\, this is a great time to see what the farm has to offer. Select flowers will be available for purchase and we may have a special opportunity for U-pick tulips. Park at the barn or in the overflow lot (follow the yellow signs). Check in at the barn to begin your adventure (map available). Walk the labyrinth. Say hello to the farm animals and the unicorn. Swing on the farm swing. Touch a tractor. Find a hammock and take a nap while the kids make a craft. Enjoy the fresh air and run around outside. Make it your day.  \nSpecial activity: Farm tours will occur at 10 am\, noon\, 2 pm and 4 pm. Meet Farmer Cindy at the barn and she will lead you around some of the flower gardens and discuss what is happening on the farm. Feel free to ask questions. During the 10 am and 4 pm tours\, we will feed the animals!  \nVendors joining us include: Burger Bistro\, Smokehouse Bandits BBQ\, Ms. Tori and her crafts (A Child’s Creative Curiosity)\, State Farm\, First National Bank\, CirclesandSymmetry Etsy store and others! Plan on buying some delicious food and sweets\, finding your favorite spot on the farm\, and having a picnic on a beautiful Spring day! \n 6 pm – Gates close.
