DESCRIPTION:Double Martini Productions is excited to continue our Live Model drawing event on every Second Saturday of the month. Every Second Saturday in 2026\, in Historic Downtown Hillsborough. Please pre-register – our models travel from all over NC and we need to assure attendance for their travels! Thank you so much! \nJoin Troupe members at Snow Approach Foundation (SAF)(129 E. King Street\, 27278)\, for an afternoon of Vaudeville\, Burlesque\, and Vintage Pin-Up themed art models. Artists provide their own supplies. \nThis event is open to everyone who is interested in Live Model Figure Drawing. **All skill levels** are invited to come relax with us and enjoy an afternoon with a variety of models in interesting\, dimensional\, texture-filled costumes and accessories. SAF offers a very cozy\, comfortable space. The Bottom Line Burlesque & Comedy Troupe will provide the model(s) as well as the time moderator. We will watch the clock\, so you can keep your focus on your drawing. \nThis is not a teaching class\, but an opportunity for you to use and expand your skills and talents in a very welcoming atmosphere. \nThe session will be timed in the following segments (short breaks will be scheduled throughout the event): \n5 minute warm-up pose/draw – all three models \n5 minute warm-up pose/draw – all three models \n10 minute warm-up pose/draw – all three models \nShort Break \n15 minute pose/draw model 1 \n15 minute pose/draw model 2 \n15 minute pose/draw model 3 \nShort break \n15 minute pose/draw model 1 \n15 minute pose/draw model 2 \n15 minute pose/draw model 3 \nPlease bring your own supplies in your preferred medium and set up at any of the numerous seating areas\, or bring your own easel. \nDoors open for this event at 10:30am\, with the first pose by 11:00am. \nSeveral short breaks will be scheduled. \nPlease pre-register using the ‘Donate’ button. DESCRIPTION:The Eno Sportfishing Club has announced it will host a community Fish Fry on Saturday\, June 27\, 2026\, from 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The fundraising event will take place at the Efland Market\, located at 3419 US-70\, Efland\, NC 27243. \nLocal residents are invited to come out and enjoy freshly cooked food\, including fried fish\, French fries\, coleslaw\, corn dogs\, and an assortment of soft drinks. Plates ($15) will be available for take-out only. \nAll proceeds from the event will directly fund the Eno Sportfishing Club’s upcoming local educational programming\, specifically its community fishing clinics designed for children and families. Disaster has struck in Hillsborough… \nThe food meant for our next PORCH Hillsborough distribution was accidentally scattered all across Historic Downtown Hillsborough! \nTo help PORCH Hillsborough feed our neighbors facing hunger\, we need a team of clever explorers\, puzzle-solvers\, and community heroes to help us gather it all up. \nWelcome to PORCH Hillsborough Food Rescue: An Amazing Adventure\, a scavenger hunt meets Amazing Race-style challenge through beautiful downtown Hillsborough. \nTeams will complete fun challenges at locations around town\, racing to recover the “lost food items” needed for our monthly distribution. \nAlong the way you’ll:\n🏃 Race to locations around downtown\n🧩 Complete challenges\n🥫 Recover “food” items\n❤️ Help fight hunger in Orange County \nAll proceeds support PORCH Hillsborough\, which provides food to over 650 local families each month. That’s over 2\,600 people experiencing food insecurity right here in Orange County. \nThe families we serve are counting on us. And now we’re counting on you. \nGather your friends\, family\, coworkers\, or neighbors and join us for an afternoon of adventure\, teamwork\, and community impact. \nTogether\, we can rescue the food and help feed our neighbors. \nWhat to Expect:\nThe scavenger hunt route is approximately 1.5 miles along sidewalk\, making it a fun and manageable adventure for most participants. \n📍 Starting Location:\nVisitor’s Center: 150 E. DESCRIPTION:Each year St. Matthews Episcopal Church celebrates the many talents of our parishioners at our holiday craft fair\, bake sale\, and BBQ lunch known as the Festival of the Society Tree (FeST). FeST 2026 will be on Saturday\, December 6th from 10am- 2p at St. Matthews Episcopal Church. This event is named in honor of the efforts of the ladies sewing society who in 1867 used what was then a novelty\, the Christmas tree\, as a way to sell their wonderful handiwork in the community. The Society raised funds for much of the architectural additions and furnishing that still grace our historic church building. Today all proceeds from FeST go to help people in need in Orange and Durham counties through donations to local non-profit organizations. Please come shop for holiday gifts\, fill your table with delicious baked goods\, sit down at the table with us to enjoy a BBQ lunch\, and tour our historic church sanctuary.  All are welcome!
