Hosted by The Alliance for Historic Hillsborough\, this event is made possible with the support from North Carolina’s America 250 initiative. \nJoin the Alliance for Historic Hillsborough for a delightful evening of Scottish tradition and celebration at our Friday Night Ceilidh on September 27th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the picturesque Ayr Mount! This free event\, generously sponsored by NC’s America 250\, promises an enchanting night filled with cultural immersion and lively entertainment.  \n**Friday Night Ceilidh is hosted in partnership with the Hillsborough Arts Council’s Last Fridays & Art Walk.** \nHighlights of the Evening: \nLive Music: Enjoy the vibrant tunes of Jim and Holly Lawrence\, who will bring their enchanting Scottish melodies to life throughout the evening. \nCeilidh Dance Lessons: From 7:00 to 8:00 PM\, step into the rhythm of Scotland with our engaging ceilidh dance lessons with Kendra Monroe of the Monroe School of Highland Dance. No experience is needed—just come ready to dance and have fun! \nScottish Tasting Exhibit: From 6:00 to 7:00 PM\, savor a variety of traditional Scottish treats at our tasting exhibit brought to you by Beau’s Catering. It’s a perfect way to indulge in the flavors of Scotland. \nScottish Art Display: Explore the artistry of Scotland’s landscapes presented by Saltire Gallerie. Admire the beauty of Scottish art in the Enlightenment and find inspiration in its rich heritage. \nCultural and Historical Demonstrations: Presented by the Scottish Cultural Organization of the Triangle\, this exhibition highlights Scotland’s vibrant history and traditions\, the Scottish experience in America\, and the rich contributions Scots have made to the fabric and history of North Carolina. \nBring your family and friends for an evening full of fun\, music\, and cultural discovery.
