DESCRIPTION:Join us for a reading and launch celebration Saturday\, September 6\, from 2 to 5pm. Live music\, kids’ games from the 1890s\, snacks\, and more! The author will donate $1.00 from every book sold at the launch party to the Friends of the Orange County Library AND to the Burwell School Historic Site. \nAbout the Book: \nIn Finding Your Place\, it’s 1894 and 11-year-old Ginny’s life is about to be turned upside down. First her beloved Grandmother dies\, then her parents decide to move away from their failing North Carolina farm to a cotton mill in search of a better life. Ginny is certain it won’t be a better life for her – no friends\, new school\, and a strange new environment.
