Originally from San Francisco\, Prieto has built a distinguished career playing with artists such as Leon Williams\, Larry Hancock\, Akira Tana\, James Levi\, and Charles Thomas. A prolific recording artist\, he has released four studio albums\, featuring standout compositions like “Jeanne’s Waltz” and *“No Love of My Own.” In addition to performing\, Prieto is a respected educator and a familiar presence on jazz stages throughout North Carolina. \nJoining him is John Simonetti\, a highly accomplished multi-instrumentalist who recently returned to his native North Carolina after six years freelancing in New York City. Simonetti performs regularly with the North Carolina Theatre\, touring Broadway productions\, the Gregg Gelb Swing Band\, and numerous other acclaimed ensembles.
