SUMMARY:Carolina Theatre Presents: Cirque Kikasse - acrobatic food truck performance
DESCRIPTION:Cirque Kikasse: SANTÉ! \nA gravity-defying circus—performed on a food truck!  \nGet ready for a circus spectacular unlike anything you have seen before. Presented as part of the Carolina Theatre of Durham’s free Centennial programming\, Quebec’s dazzling Cirque Kikasse rolls into the Triangle with SANTÉ!—an exuberant outdoor production where high-flying acrobatics\, physical comedy\, and infectious energy unfold atop a transformed food truck.  \nAs the performers prepare their extraordinary “terrace” for service\, ordinary tables and chairs become the foundation for a breathtaking 35-foot balancing act. Cleanup turns into trampoline-powered comedy. Popcorn showers the crowd. With remarkable skill and playful imagination\, Cirque Kikasse transforms an everyday setting into a feast for the senses—thrilling seasoned circus fans while delighting the inner child in us all.  \nIn celebration of its 100th anniversary\, the Carolina Theatre is taking the show beyond its historic walls and into communities throughout Durham\, Hillsborough\, and Pittsboro. These free outdoor performances invite audiences of all ages to gather\, laugh\, and experience the wonder of live performance together.  \nBring your family\, invite your friends\, and watch as a food truck becomes a stage—and the everyday becomes extraordinary.  \nRecommended for all ages. \nThu\, 10/8\, 6:30pm @ RTP 800 Building\, Durham \nFri\, 10/9\, 6:30pm @ Golden Belt\, Durham \nSun\, 10/11\, 2pm @ Woodcrest Farm\, Hillsborough \nThu\, 10/15\, 6pm @ The Plant\, Pittsboro \nFri\, 10/16\, 6pm @ Scrap Exchange\, Durham \nSat\, 10/17\, 2pm @ Garland Hall\, Durham

SUMMARY:Historic Hillsborough Guided Tours 2026
DESCRIPTION:Experience American history through the unique perspective of one of North Carolina’s oldest and most historically significant towns\, with a guided walking tour of downtown Hillsborough. Established in 1754 as the seat of government for Orange County\, Hillsborough’s colonial legacy and signs of its importance in North Carolina and American history can be seen everywhere. \nThe tour begins at the Hillsborough Visitors Center\, located in the eighteenth century Alexander Dickson Farm House\, and guides visitors to a variety of historic places from the site of a 1790s African American-owned distillery to the 1840s Orange County Courthouse and the grave of one of North Carolina’s signers of the Declaration of Independence. \nThis is an in-person walking tour that sometimes crosses uneven terrain. Please plan to be walking or standing for the duration of the event\, wear comfortable walking shoes\, and bring a water bottle (plus your curiosity)! \nFor groups that are concerned about the length\, duration\, or terrain of the tour. Please\, contact The Alliance for Historic Hillsborough for other options\, including bus tours. \nTickets: https://www.zeffy.com/ticketing/3277bebb-5a4c-48ec-9a1e-0c4e287138b5
