DESCRIPTION:2026 marks the 32nd year for the Orange County Artists Guild’s Annual Open Studio Tour. During the first two weekends in November 105 artists located throughout Orange County\, will be participating in this juried event and opening their studios to visitors. OCAG’s Open Studio Tour is a rare opportunity for art lovers from Orange County and beyond to meet artists in their places of work\, to view and purchase art directly from the artists\, and in many instances to watch as artists demonstrate how they create their pieces. Studio Tour brochures and maps to the participants’ studios are available at the Hillsborough Gallery of Arts and other area locations or on the Guild website: http://www.ocagnc.org \nMany of the artists on the 2026 tour will have work in the OCAG Preview Exhibit at the Hillsborough Gallery of Arts\, from October 27th through November 15th. The preview show is a wonderful opportunity for a first look at the work on the tour and can help you plan your tour route. \nAn opening reception for the exhibit will be held on Friday\, October 30th from 6-9pm at the Hillsborough Gallery of Arts\, located in the Mercantile Building at 121 North Churton Street in historic downtown Hillsborough\, North Carolina. Established in 1754 as the seat of government for Orange County\, Hillsborough’s colonial legacy and signs of its importance in North Carolina and American history can be seen everywhere. \nThe tour begins at the Hillsborough Visitors Center\, located in the eighteenth century Alexander Dickson Farm House\, and guides visitors to a variety of historic places from the site of a 1790s African American-owned distillery to the 1840s Orange County Courthouse and the grave of one of North Carolina’s signers of the Declaration of Independence. \nThis is an in-person walking tour that sometimes crosses uneven terrain. Please plan to be walking or standing for the duration of the event\, wear comfortable walking shoes\, and bring a water bottle (plus your curiosity)! \nFor groups that are concerned about the length\, duration\, or terrain of the tour. Established in 1754 as the seat of government for Orange County\, Hillsborough’s colonial legacy and signs of its importance in North Carolina and American history can be seen everywhere. \nThe tour begins at the Hillsborough Visitors Center\, located in the eighteenth century Alexander Dickson Farm House\, and guides visitors to a variety of historic places from the site of a 1790s African American-owned distillery to the 1840s Orange County Courthouse and the grave of one of North Carolina’s signers of the Declaration of Independence. \nThis is an in-person walking tour that sometimes crosses uneven terrain. Please plan to be walking or standing for the duration of the event\, wear comfortable walking shoes\, and bring a water bottle (plus your curiosity)! \nFor groups that are concerned about the length\, duration\, or terrain of the tour. DESCRIPTION:Eyes Ears Nose and Paws (EENP) will celebrate three new service dog partnerships at a free public graduation ceremony on Saturday\, November 7\, at 11am at the Whitted Human Services Center in Hillsborough. The placements will bring EENP’s total to 108 service dog partnerships since 2010. \nEENP is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization based in Hillsborough\, NC. It was founded in 2008 as the first assistance dog organization in the Triangle area\, with the intent of making assistance dogs more available for local residents. EENP has placed 108 assistance dogs with clients\, including the current partners\, since 2010.  \nMore information about graduation can be found at eenp.org/main/graduation. Graduation is free\, fun\, and open to the public.  \n

DESCRIPTION:Double Martini Productions is excited to continue our Live Model drawing event on every Second Saturday of the month. Every Second Saturday in 2026\, in Historic Downtown Hillsborough. Please pre-register – our models travel from all over NC and we need to assure attendance for their travels! Thank you so much! \nJoin Troupe members at Snow Approach Foundation (SAF)(129 E. King Street\, 27278)\, for an afternoon of Vaudeville\, Burlesque\, and Vintage Pin-Up themed art models. Artists provide their own supplies. \nThis event is open to everyone who is interested in Live Model Figure Drawing. **All skill levels** are invited to come relax with us and enjoy an afternoon with a variety of models in interesting\, dimensional\, texture-filled costumes and accessories. SAF offers a very cozy\, comfortable space. The Bottom Line Burlesque & Comedy Troupe will provide the model(s) as well as the time moderator. SUMMARY:17th Annual Trail Run/Walk at Chestnut Ridge
DESCRIPTION:Location: Camp Chestnut Ridge. Efland\, NC \nDate: Nov 21\, 2026           \nRace Start Times: \n9:30am – 1 mile Fun Run/Walk \n10:00am – 5k run or walk \n10:15am – 8 mile run  \nRace Route: The race will be run entirely on trails and camp roads (dirt and gravel). The course will feature rolling hills through old hardwood forests and go around a 10 acre lake. Water stations will be provided. \nProceeds from the race will benefit ministries at camp such as the Chestnut Ridge Campership Fund which helps provide scholarships for children and youth in financial need\, so that they can have positive camp experiences at Chestnut Ridge. By running in the race\, you can help send a kid to camp this summer!
