Timberwood Tinny Home

We designed Timberwood Tiny Home to be a retreat for you alone or with a close partner or friend. It’s a peaceful place located on an old organic vegetable farm we are working hard to restore to its original glory. We share the property, but the tiny home is across the field from the main house. You may see us in the garden or taking a stroll, but we value privacy as much as we know you all do. However, we are always happy to say hello and offer local recommendations.

The tiny home is small in square footage but big in personality. It was built by our friends in Tennessee and features Scandinavian style details. The open, one room interior features white-washed spruce pine and an oak floor. There are two beds – a queen in the main space and a twin in the a-frame loft space, which is accessed by a ladder.

As is most things in a tiny home, the kitchenette is in the main space. It features a two burner induction stove and a small refrigerator and freezer. Because of the small space, we recommend planning for very simple meals that don’t require a ton of cooking, enjoying one of the nearby restaurants, or planning a bbq meal outside. We offer beautiful dishes from East Fork pottery. You’ll find local coffee & tea options on the shelf and inside the fridge, an array of beverages, oat milk, cream, and fresh eggs from our coop. A selection of sweet & savory snacks are included & we will share vegetables from our garden when in season.

The bathroom features a full-sized shower, small vanity, and toilet. It is fully stocked with extra toiletries.

A small TV hangs on the wall and we’ve already signed you into Netflix. Our Wifi is a pocket wifi system and works better than nearly all others here in the country. We frequently work from home, and it works great.

Outside, you’ll find a large porch that’s nearly the size of the tiny home itself. We invite you to enjoy the rocking chairs, fire pit and grill. The stars out here are also fantastic.

Behind the home, there’s a path (lit at night) that will take you to the cedar wood-fired hot tub and a cold plunge bath. You’ll have to prepare the tub a little ahead of time as it takes an hour and a half to heat up, but that’s perfect for enjoying a glass of wine from the bottle provided with each stay. Because the space is new, some of the landscaping needs to mature but there is ample privacy at the hot tub.

This property has brought us so much peace, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

You will have access to the tiny home, a spacious front porch and gravel area in front of the home as well as a path and back patio. Should you be interested in checking out the chickens, flowers, or garden, feel free to reach out via a message.

We offer a list of items in the house manual that we keep in the main house because of space. Should you need any of these items, please let us know and we will happily drop them at the home for you. Examples include an iron, a blender etc.
