The Second Annual Spring Barbecue Fundraiser will be Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29 at Eagle Lodge #19. Proceeds will benefit Historic Eagle Lodge Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation created in 2005 to help protect, maintain, preserve and restore the building and grounds of Eagle Lodge #19 in Hillsborough. Food sales will begin on Friday, April 28 during the Hillsborough Arts Council's Last Friday festival with chicken and hot dog plates that will include baked beans, slaw, and bread.…

Join the brothers of Eagle Lodge for their third annual spring bbq fundraiser. Food sales begin Friday during lunch, continuing throughout Hillsborough Arts Council's Last Fridays event, and will resume Saturday morning and afternoon until the food is sold out. Rediscovering the Carolinas on the Route of John Lawson’s 1700 Expedition

In 1700, a young man named John Lawson undertook a two-month journey through the still-mysterious Carolina backcountry. His travels yielded one of the most significant early American travel narratives, rich with observations about the region's environment and Indigenous people.  In 2014, Scott Huler decided to make his own journey by foot and canoe, faithfully retracing Lawson's route through the Carolinas.
