Eno Riverwalk Foraging and Herb Walk
Explore the length of the beautiful greenway along the Eno River in Hillsborough. Each walk involves hands-on, and practical use of local wild, edible, and medicinal plants, and herbs. “Be the Light” Suicide Prevention and Awareness Walk
From 2012 to 2016 64 Orange County citizens lost their lives to suicide. On September 21st Healthy Carolinians of Orange County, in partnership with the Orange County Health Department and Cardinal Innovations, are hosting the “Be the Light” Suicide Prevention Walk to support survivors and to share how to recognize the signs and symptoms of suicide and what to do if a loved one or friend is in danger. Birding the Eno – Accessibly!
Join avid birder and former New Hope Audubon Society President Tom Driscoll on an accessible, guided discovery of the birds of the Eno at Hillsborough's Riverwalk at Gold Park. This 2-hour program will take you along the 0.66 mile Gold Loop through fields, a wooded trail and along the Eno River and will illuminate many birds by sight and song.
