She has performed and taught in 13 countries and cities all over the world.   She is the founder of House of Amal\, a global writing community that sits at the intersection of introspection\, faith\, and literature. As part of the celebration\, the Hillsborough Classic Film Society will join with the Orange County Public Library in Hillsborough to present the noir mystery thriller Devil in a Blue Dress\, based upon the first book in Walter Mosely’s acclaimed Easy Rawlins series. Please join us for a free showing of this award-winning classic starring Denzel Washington on Sunday\, June 16\, at 2 pm\, in the Public Library on Margaret Lane. Popcorn and refreshments are included. A short discussion will follow the film. The event is part of Orange County Public Library’s Black Literature & Arts Celebration (BLAC)\, an annual celebration that takes place during the week leading up to Juneteenth. \nSeats are limited\, so please sign up if you intend to be there. DESCRIPTION:Event Details\n\nAs part of our Black Literature & Arts Celebration\, The Alliance for Historic Hillsborough is providing a 90 minute\, guided walking tour of Hillsborough’s Black and Indigenous History led by Judge Beverly Scarlett.
