Bad Art Club
December 16, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
At December Bad Art Club, join us for a hands-on experience creating cyanotype prints. Cyanotype is an affordable, low-tech method for crafting sun-powered photographic prints. Learn the process, make unique prints using natural materials, and take home a handmade cyanotype-printed instruction book.
Please note: this month is a mask-required class
Saturday, Dec. 16 from 2-5 pm at Eno Arts Mill
$0-30 sliding scale, recommended ages 10+
Guest artist, Amber Tripodi, can never decide between art and science, so she tries to mesh them the best she can with a mad scientist approach to making art. She sees art as an integral part of life and an important way to build community, and spends her spare time doing what she can to enable the art community with CoLab Studio
Join our workshop to:
Gain insights into the history and basic chemistry behind cyanotype creation
Explore necessary materials, methods for contact negatives, and witness a step-by-step demonstration of the entire process, including paper preparation to final print
Engage in discussions about safety, valuable tips, creative variations, troubleshooting, and exchanging ideas.
Don’t miss this comprehensive learning experience!
