Book Study: The Intersectional Environmentalist

 Join us for a discussion of The Intersectional Environmentalist: How to Dismantle Systems of Oppression to Protect People + Planet by Leah Thomas. This rich text explores the inextricable links between environmentalism, social justice, and power. We will explore the framework of Environmental Justice and discuss the practical tools Thomas offers for this collective work. The session will be co-facilitated by Emily Stewart and Erica Cormack, who both grew up in this area and bring experience in community empowerment and Environmental Justice work that centers Black and Indigenous communities.
