They’re doing it again. That thing everybody’s been talking about returns after a three month hiatus. NOIR AT THE BAR is where eight crime fiction authors—some local, some from lands beyond—descend upon Yonder on King Street to read their saucy stuff.

Each author gets 8-10 minutes to thrill a packed and rapt audience with a live performance of their words. In the past, Yonder has been proud to host bestselling authors such as SA Cosby, Rob Hart, and David Joy.

This particular edition will showcase the talents of Steve Weddle (The County Line), Dana King (White Out), Katy Munger (Fire and Rain), Rob Creekmore (Prophet’s Debt), Eryk Pruitt (Blood Red Summer) as well as poet Sarah Smith, short story author PM Raymond, and writer Isaac Hughes Green.

The event is hosted by Tracey Reynolds, who keeps everything running smooth and on time with her zippy comedic chops.

“This is my favorite night of the year,” says author and Yonder co-owner Eryk Pruitt. “I love turning the folks of Hillsborough on to some of my favorite authors, and introducing these writers to some of the best people I know.”

Special cocktails will be designed for the event by Alexis Bravos of Jade Tree Bodywork.
