Open Day at Montrose Gardens

We invite you to visit our garden, at this, the beginning of our favorite season.  The gardens will be open on Saturday, October 7, from 10:00 until 2:00. We expect to see some of our favorite fall perennials in full bloom. As well as cyclamen and early flowering bulbs. Our nursery will be open with plants for sale.  All our offerings are propagated from the gardens here at Montrose. If you wish to purchase plants or seeds, please remember we only accept cash and checks. There is no charge to view the gardens and reservations are not required. Please park next door at River Park Elementary School, located at 240 St Mary’s Rd, Hillsborough, NC 27278. Walk to Montrose, 320 St Mary’s Rd, from the school parking lot. For the safety and comfort of others we ask that you please leave your pets at home. Restroom facility is available but limited. We respectfully request that you neither touch the plants nor step in the garden beds. We look forward to sharing the garden with you!
