Poetry for Everybody with Dee Stribling

OCPL invites you to celebrate and enjoy poetry with a series of events for all ages hosted by Hillsborough’s Poet Laureate, Dee Stribling, at the Main Library in Hillsborough. Hear poems written by well-known authors, sign-up to read a poem of your own if you’d like, and participate in the experience of writing a poem as a group. Celebrating Independence | Wed., July 17th, 6-7:15pm
In honor of Independence Day, guests will enjoy poetry
on the subject of Military Service and poems written by Veterans. Following questions and discussion, those attending will have the opportunity to share by reading an original poem they’ve written around this month’s theme. At the end everyone will be welcome to contribute ideas, lines, and words to create a poem together.
