Moonfall Variations is a combination of printmaking, painting, and collage centered around the eponymous moonfalls. This show is sort of about the sky in all its various moods, sort of about the color yellow, and sort of about getting my hands covered in paint and ink.

I’m always motivated by the tactile experience of making art, which most recently has led me to trying some low-tech printmaking techniques like linocut and gelli plate prints. This show also marks a tentative foray into working with fabric and some of the largest pieces I’ve done so far.

About The Halfbacks

Living in Hillsborough, NC, husband and wife duo Mike June and Jess Klein have been creating music together for 4 years. Known for their high energy, soulful, harmony-filled electro-acoustic performances, and with 15 albums and thousands of miles of road-tested experience between them, Klein & June’s combined energy gets audiences up on their feet, singing along and digging deep into their hearts in equal measure..

Mike June’s music is described by poet Kristen LaTour as: “what comes from being birthed in country music, raised on Rock ‘N’ Roll, schooled in jazz, blues, joy and pain.”

The New York Times calls Jess Klein “a songwriter with a voice of unblinking tenacity, who finds parables in the everyday and humanity behind the archetypal.”
