2024 Solstice Lantern Walk & Market

Together, we make light through darkness, no matter how dark it gets!

Get ready to gather by lantern light in Hillsborough, NC, on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 5-8 PM to brighten the darkest night of the year with creativity and community.

On November 1, 2024:

  • Tickets to attend this year’s Solstice Lantern Walk & Market go live at www.hillsboroughartscouncil.org/solstice!
  • Ticket registration is required to attend this event. Registration is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5-10 per person.
  • Lantern Kits go on sale at the HAC Gallery & Gift Shop (available while supplies last)!

Solstice Lantern Workshops: Want to make your own lantern for Solstice? Join one of Meredith Haggerty’s Vellum Lantern Workshops to learn basic cut, fold, and paste techniques!

Dates & Registration: 

Cost per participant: $15

Adult-Child (13 and under) Pairs: $25

*Pricing is per workshop. All materials provided!

**Proceeds from registration, lantern kits, and workshops benefit the Hillsborough Arts Council, supporting access to community arts programming and opportunities for local artists!
