Solstice Lantern Walk & Market

Join us by lantern light on the darkest night of the year for the 2023 Solstice Lantern Walk & Market, 5-8 PM, on Thursday, December 21, 2023!

1. Craft your lantern! Solstice Lantern Kits are now available for purchase in the HAC Gallery & Gift Shop while supplies last! Additional lantern resources and workshop opportunities can be found at www.hillsboroughartscouncil.org/solstice-lantern-resources.

2. Register to participate in the 2023 Solstice Lantern Walk at www.hillsboroughartscouncil.org/solstice. Walk registration is required to           attend. Registering allows you to write in a donation amount. This event is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5.00                per person.

3. Join us at Hillsborough’s Farmers Market Pavilion (144 E Margaret Ln. Hillsborough, NC) to shop giftable work by a                select number of local artists and enjoy live music, hot drinks, warm food, and more at the 2023 Solstice Market both before & after we          light up the night!

After sundown, we’ll follow a procession along Hillsborough’s River Walk, lanterns lighting our collective path toward warmer, brighter days ahead, together.

*All Solstice Lantern Kit and Walk Registration proceeds benefit the Hillsborough Arts Council and support continued access to community arts programming!

**ARTIST CALL** Artists are invited to apply, Nov. 1-15, 2023, to sell giftable winter or solstice-themed artwork during this year’s Solstice Market, 5-8 pm, under Hillsborough’s Farmers Market Pavilion.
