Homes for the Holidays: 2020 Gingerbread Competition ENTRIES DUE

Submit Gingerbread Entries + $10 registration fee today, December 3 from 4-6pm at Coldwell Banker HPW: 106-A South Churton Street in downtown Hillsborough.
Contestants may make their edible gingerbread creations in the likeness of any historic home, building or structure in Hillsborough (The Old Courthouse, Ayr Mount, The Inn at Teardrops, St. Matthews, The Burwell School to name a few…). A walking tour of entries will be displayed in the storefront windows of various downtown businesses from December 5 until January 2, and the public is encouraged to vote through by phone for their favorite designs in both Adult and Youth/Family categories. Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show on New Year’s Eve. The gingerbread displays will compliment other festive holiday decorations downtown, including the Alliance for Historic Hillsborough’s Holiday Wreath Stroll and the Hillsborough Arts Council’s Solstice Lantern Self-Guided Tour; be sure to stroll through town and enjoy all the sights of the season!
