Hillsborough is BEE-utiful: Celebrating National Pollinator Week

Hillsborough is BEE-utiful: Celebrating National Pollinator Week

Did you know that Hillsborough is a certified Bee City?  The national nonprofit organization Bee City USA has recognized Hillsborough’s work to reverse pollinator declines. As a designated Bee City, the town works to help raise awareness of the role pollinators play in sustaining more than 75 percent of the world’s plant species and to help expand pollinator-friendly practices and environments in town. June 17-23 is National Pollinator Week, and this Bee City is celebrating.

There will be two events (listed below) to celebrate pollinators and educate about how to use gardening to help preserve the pollinator population.  There will also be educational activities for kids at the Orange County Main Library and the Orange County Historical Museum, exhibits at local galleries, and special offerings at a host of Hillsborough Businesses.  For more information, click the link below.
